SJR Student Rock Show

What began as a small co-curricular activity involving a handful of students has grown to become one of the major events of the Senior School year with over 100 students participating, culminating in a series of sellout concerts in Reimer Gym. The Rock Show program offers a number of opportunities and benefits for students: a positive and interactive learning environment, music study and history, developing proficiency on an instrument, voice or stage production, working with a variety of students from multi-grades, interests and abilities, performance experience, and, most importantly, a fun school activity that they will never forget. Our annual productions have become increasingly elaborate over the years and draws audiences not only from the SJR community but from across the city and province and a huge musical spectacle unlike any other high school production.

Under the direction of well-known local music, historian, and author, John Einarson, the annual SJR Rock Show program is in its 20th year. This year the students will be performing hits from the Beatles.
