SJR has always emphasized the importance of a well-rounded education, with active, healthy living as one of our cornerstones.
Through athletics, students not only build strong bodies, they also build character as they learn valuable lessons about leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship. They begin to develop and trust their abilities, to think on their feet, and to understand the ways in which physical fitness is key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Students can choose to compete competitively or join one of our many athletic clubs. Each year, SJR fields over 35 competitive teams from Grades 4 to 12.
