Creative expression is an integral part of the SJR experience.

Through the visual and performing arts, students learn to stretch their imaginations, to persevere, and to work together.

These skills are all vital in the classroom, but more importantly, they will continue to serve them well as they go on to be articulate, self-assured and confident members of the community.

With the Moffat-Richardson Theatre serving as home-base since 1985, SJR has developed creative programs that have gained widespread public recognition.

Our debating and public speaking program has an unprecedented record of 14 out of 25 World Championships.

SJR’s Rock Show—an exciting annual event featuring student performances and special effects—has been rocking audiences for more than two decades.

These signature programs, along with a strong theatre and drama curriculum and an intensive instrumental music/band program, mean students have a wide variety of creative outlets to meet the needs of our diverse population.
