At SJR, we understand that we are part of a broader community.
Our students all take part in service activities, whether it be a local initiative in our neighbourhood or a fundraising for a project on the other side of the globe.
Leadership opportunities are also available to students at all levels, beginning in Junior School.
Community Service
Students are involved in various community service projects coordinated by the School over the course of the academic year.
At each grade level, students offer support to various organizations or charities by making small personal or family donations of time, money, and items including food and toys. Projects are planned and implemented in developmentally appropriate ways, specifically geared for each grade.
Student Leadership
SJR students have the opportunity to serve their School and develop valuable skills by taking an active role in student council. As well as being role models to all students, student leaders take on a vital role in shaping their School by planning and organizing activities, contributing to the spirit and life of the School, and helping to foster communication between students, faculty, parents, and the community.
