SUBSTITUTE EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS
St. John’s-Ravenscourt School is looking for energetic and compassionate individuals to join our Educational Assistant substitute team. Our Educational Assistants support students who have a range of academic abilities with individual learning and/or behavioural needs and provide extended day programming and general student supervision. This includes collaborating with teachers to implement supports for the development of academic, physical, and behavioural skills. Our Educational Assistants work with students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, both indoors and outdoors on-campus, as well as during off-campus excursions. Additionally, supervision of meals and recess is part of the workday at SJR.
The successful applicant will have a valid Educational Assistant Diploma or equivalent post-secondary child-specific education and training. The successful candidate will have experience successfully working with students with learning exceptionalities. This is a substitute/casual role with flexible hours; an 8-hour workday can range from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
