St. John's-Ravenscourt School (SJR) is western Canada's oldest independent day school. We offer a progressive approach to learning and education for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 - challenging them to push themselves every day so they can become the best version of themselves.

Our classes are intentionally small and our non-denominational community is diverse and welcoming. From our inquiry-based Kindergarten program to our challenging AP high school program, SJR offers a foundation and a launch pad for students who are curious and motivated – and it’s incredible to watch what happens from here.

Kindergarten:
A Bright Start

The first years of school are some of the most important for your child. SJR’s Kindergarten program is designed with intentionally small class sizes and a play- and inquiry-based curriculum that provides the building blocks for success in our lower, middle, and upper school programs. Our world-class Kindergarten program is full-day, and we also offer before & after school care or busing options – perfect for busy families.

We are committed to building the foundations that will help our youngest learners become life-long explorers and compassionate global citizens – all within a community that will guide them through each step of their education.
