VICE PRINCIPAL OF JUNIOR SCHOOL
Full-time (1.0 EFT) position with teaching responsibilities to commence September 2025
 
St. John’s-Ravenscourt School is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and student-focused Teaching Vice Principal to join our Junior School team, which spans Kindergarten through Grade 5. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal to support staff, students, and families, upholding the values and vision of our school community.
 
The successful candidate will bring:
  • A record of success in instruction, assessment and program development;
  • Strong skills in communication and relationship building;
  • An understanding of student support, with a focus on student well-being;
  • A commitment to fostering student engagement, leadership and agency;
  • Experience building partnerships with students, parents and the community;
  • Expertise in inclusive teaching strategies;
  • Experience in daily school operations;
  • An ability to promote high expectations and continuous school improvement.
 
Qualifications:
  • Valid Manitoba Teaching License or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Bachelor of Education degree; Master’s degree in Education or related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience at the Early Years level.
  • Respect In School or Commit To Kids certification
  • Strong knowledge of current educational research, curriculum, and assessment practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, equitable, and inclusive school environment.
