SJR's English Department was instrumental in bringing Macbeth Muet, a play from Montreal-based theatre company La Fille Du Laitier, to the School. The show was performed in partnership with Shakespeare in the Ruins, a Winnipeg-based theatre company that brought the show in for a fall run/tour. Grade 11 students, who studied Macbeth as part of their Grade 10 ELA curriculum, and some Grade 12 students, who will study the play in Senior Drama Class, were in attendance. Grade 11 students will be writing critical reviews of the play for an ELA assignment.
